flyable Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 24, 2026
Overview
Flyable is a flight weather decision aid for general aviation pilots. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data Flyable accesses, how it is used, and what we do not do.
Data We Do Not Collect
Flyable does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. Specifically:
No account or login is required.
No personal data (name, email, location, contacts) is collected.
No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs are included.
No data is sent to our servers — we do not operate any servers.
No cookies or device identifiers are used.
Data Stored on Your Device
Flyable stores the following data locally on your device only:
Aircraft profiles — performance data you enter for your aircraft.
Personal minimums — your configured weather limits.
Flight plans — departure, destination, and waypoint identifiers.
App preferences — such as disclaimer acceptance status.
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
Network Requests
Flyable fetches real-time aviation weather data from the following public government sources:
aviationweather.gov (NOAA/NWS) — METARs, TAFs, PIREPs, AIRMETs, SIGMETs
notams.aim.faa.gov (FAA) — NOTAMs
These requests contain only airport/waypoint identifiers (e.g., "KCHD") and standard HTTP headers. No personal or device-identifying information is included in these requests. These government services have their own privacy policies.
Third-Party Services
Flyable does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or social media services.
Children's Privacy
Flyable does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
